Kigali in a Day
The Kigali Genocide Memorial, Kimironko market, the murals and tailors of Nyamirambo, and a cup of Rwandan coffee where it's roasted.
Private and small-group tours with Juls: Kigali's markets and bars, Lake Kivu's shores, and the mountain gorillas of Volcanoes National Park.
Every tour is private and can be adjusted to your pace, dates and budget. Prices are per person for two travellers sharing.
The Kigali Genocide Memorial, Kimironko market, the murals and tailors of Nyamirambo, and a cup of Rwandan coffee where it's roasted.
Brochettes, isombe and fresh passion-fruit juice on Kigali's liveliest street, with stories from the families who cook them.
One hour with a habituated gorilla family in Volcanoes National Park, plus a lodge stay in Musanze and a visit to a local community.
Drive to Rubavu or Karongi, take a boat to the islands, and walk a coffee farm from cherry to cup before a sunset over the lake.
Rwanda's savannah park: game drive in search of lions, elephants, giraffes and rhinos, with a boat trip on Lake Ihema.
Kigali, the gorillas, Lake Kivu, and Nyungwe's chimpanzees and canopy walk, planned around your dates. Add Akagera as an extra day.

Four of Juls's favourite spots, from a sunset rooftop to a local bar and a late dance floor. Meet Kigali's young crowd, taste Rwandan banana beer, and get a safe ride back to your hotel.
Prices are a guide. Final quotes depend on season, group size and accommodation, and solo travellers pay a small supplement.
Rwanda is small, so most highlights are a few hours' drive away. Approximate drive times by road.

I was born and raised in Rwanda, and I started Juls Tour to show visitors the country the way I know it: the hills I grew up on, the food my family cooks, and the people who make Kigali one of Africa's most welcoming cities.
When you book with me, you deal with me from the first message to the last goodbye at the airport. I plan every trip myself, work with lodges and drivers I trust, and pay them fairly. Expect a few small surprises along the way, on the house.
Tell me your dates, group size and what you'd love to see. WhatsApp or the form below both work.
Within 24 hours you receive a day-by-day plan with a clear quote: what's included and what isn't.
A 30% deposit secures your trip. Gorilla permits are paid in full at booking, because the park requires it.
I meet you at Kigali International Airport. Balance is due 30 days before your trip starts.
The long dry season, June to September, and the short dry season, December to February, are best for gorilla trekking and safaris. The rainy months are greener and quieter, and some parks offer lower prices.
Treks last from one to several hours on steep, muddy slopes at altitude. Moderate fitness is enough, and porters can carry your bag and help you on the trail.
Most visitors can get a visa online or on arrival. Rules depend on your passport, so check Rwanda's official immigration website before you travel. I'm happy to help you check.
Each quote lists exactly what's included. Usually that's private transport with a driver-guide, park fees and permits, accommodation, most meals, and medical evacuation cover for the trip.
Not at all. Every stop serves soft drinks, juices and mocktails, and the welcome drink can be alcohol-free. A driver takes you home at the end, so nobody drives after drinking.
By bank transfer in USD, by card, or by mobile money for travellers in Rwanda. You'll receive an invoice and receipt for every payment.
You'll get the full cancellation policy with your quote. Gorilla permits are non-refundable once issued, so I recommend travel insurance.
The quickest way to reach me is WhatsApp. I reply within 24 hours, usually much sooner.
